'Pigeon Forge Family Challenge' Webcast Series To Launch July 5

Pigeon Forge, TN – June 2011 – A four-part series of webcasts that chronicles five families’ quest for $10,000 in the Pigeon Forge Family Challenge begins July 5. The action takes place at MyPigeonForge.com .

A new webcast episode will be unveiled every Tuesday in July. The July 26 webcast, shot at Dollywood’s Adventure Mountain ropes course, reveals which family prevails after an action-packed Pigeon Forge vacation .

The families, each from a different state, qualified through an online nomination and voting process to be Pigeon Forge’s first reality show stars.

Two adults and two children from each family competed in four challenges at Pigeon Forge tourist landmarks such as Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede, the Titanic Museum Attraction, The Track and Zorb Smoky Mountains, leading up to the finale 90 feet off the ground at Dollywood’s Adventure Mountain.

How it works

This spring we searched for families to compete in the Pigeon Forge Family Challenge. Many families submitted sixty-second videos showcasing what makes them unique and why they are up for the challenge. America chose five families who will come to Pigeon Forge June 13 – 17, to compete in a series of contests, games and challenges designed around some of the attractions that make Pigeon Forge so special. Click here to learn more about what these families will be up against. All the action will be caught on tape, with one family eliminated after each challenge. The family left standing at the end of the competition will win $10,000 . Be sure to check back often – a lot will happen between now and the end of the summer.

The winning family will receive $10,000 plus bragging rights as the 1st Pigeon Forge Reality Stars! The competition will be caught on video and webisodes will be aired on the Pigeon Forge Family Challenge Web site in July!
