'Expedition Impossible' recap: Episode 2, June 30

Stage two begins with the teams being told that they will travel to ancient robot Kazbah to a horse output. There they will find arabian stallions and have to ride them seven miles to the first check point.

The releasing of the teams we find out is different from, The Amazing Race . The team in first place will get a five minute head start, followed by waves of teams of 3 or 4. The Gypsies got the five minute head start, then began the next leg of the race. When they reached the horse output, the use of their packing before the race helped them in a great way. Before the race had started, the Gypsies packed an Arabic phrase book to help them with the language. As a result, they get the most behaved horses.

The Football Players were next on the horses, and Akbar looks for the biggest horse. Team Kansas goes off the course at one point, and a No Limits member gets thrown off his wild horse, who was acting like a bull. With their experience with horses, the Country Boys make up major ground and now are at the top of the pack. While this occurs, Mom's Army and the California Girls fall way behind because they could not manage their horses.

The Gypsies and Country Boys are the first two teams to the check point, where they find the next task. Each team must search the Kazbah for buckets to fill an urn, which will give them their next directions. The catch is that the bigger buckets have major holes in them, while the smaller ones have none. The Country Boys fill their big bucket's holes with plastic trash from the ground, and the Football Players take their shirts off to surround the water. No Limits finds controversy at this part of stage two, when they leave Eric, who is blind, behind to go fetch the water. After being lost for a small amount of time, Eric and his teammates find each other, as they continue this part of the expedition.

Five teams are now battling for a position at the top of the pack, and they find out their next set of directions. The teams must now go to the lagoon river, inflate a kayak, and manage themselves down the river. From seventh place to now first, the Country Boys are the first to the Kayaks. Despite blowing their kayaks up and getting in the rapids first, their weight takes them and slows them down the river. This weight issue also hurt the Football Players, Firemen, and Cops. The Gypsies retake the lead due to this issue, and other teams continue to struggle. The mother of Mom's Army falls off her kayak and loses her ore, which puts them far behind again.

We were all sold a bit of a dummy last week on The Amazing Race Australia with the announcement as Anastasia and Chris reached the pit stop first that it was a double leg and this stretch of the race was far from over.

Nathan and Tyler have a distaster when they lose their passports and all their other doumentation and it is the kind of calamity that could see them out of the race altogether (the same fate befell Justin and Zev on the US version although they forget theirs wheras it looks like N and T have actually had theirs stolen. Meanwhile the race carries on the remaining contestants find themselves in Krakow, Poland.
