How’s it possible? It’s quite clever, actually. Mom and dad will be glad to know the very finest dental care for patients from infancy to age 18 is available at Lake Mary Pediatric Dentistry, thanks to Dr. Nicholas White and his dedicated, caring staff. The little ones, however, will be too busy to notice. Between the video game stations, cool tropical décor, and TV screens by the dozen playing the latest movies and cartoons, kids are so engaged and entertained at Lake Mary Pediatric Dentistry, there’s no time left for worry or apprehension about the trip to the dentist – it’s simply too much fun. In fact, the quality of care and unbeatable atmosphere have proven to be so popular at Lake Mary Pediatric Dentistry, the office is expanding its waiting area to accommodate more patients and their families. The new lobby will open in June, ready for the office’s busiest time of the year – this may be the only dentist’s office in Central Florida where little Jane or Johnny could actually get upset if an appointment had to be rescheduled. “There are really two things at work,” says Dr. White, describing what makes pediatric dentistry so unique and important. “We want kids of all ages to be completely comfortable and not feel threatened or scared about anything we do as part of their treatment plan. In fact, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry both recommend children first see the dentist no later than age one. That’s why everything in the office, from the waiting area to the X-Ray machine, is specially designed to be kid friendly and approachable. Once they’re comfortable, we provide kids with dental care that is second to none. It’s not just adult dental strategies modified for younger patients. Pediatric dentistry is like pediatric medicine. It’s a completely different discipline that requires specific training, study, and experience.” Dr. White has all those things in spades. When finished with dental school at the University of Florida, Dr. White was one of only five dentists chosen from more than 100 applicants to go on to another two years of pediatric-specific training at UF. After setting up his practice in Lake Mary, Dr. White kept close ties with his alma mater. He periodically returns to UF as a clinical professor to pass on real-world knowledge and experience to future dentists. Dr.
