Knights of Columbus 19th Annual Charity Golf Tournament was a success
CROSSVILLE — Knights of Columbus Council 8152 held their 19th annual Charity Golf Tournament Wednesday, June 15, at The Bear Trace Golf Course. The annual golf Tournament started off with high hopes that the rain would clear, but no luck. Heavy rains in the Crossville area forced the cancellation of the golf portion of the tournament. The 34 teams who came out to support the many charities the Knights of Columbus promote in Cumberland County found themselves off to the Knights of Columbus Hall, Hwy. 70, for the distribution of door prizes, along with individual and team awards, plus a delicious dinner from Big Boy’s Barbeque. The tournament committee developed a plan to fairly disperse the $1500 prize fund to the tournament teams. The Knights of Columbus will mark the Fourth of July with a ceremony at its hall on Columbus Avenue, at which the public is invited to attend. Dignitaries and guests will arrive at 9:30 am At 10 am the event will commence with a posting of the colors.
BOLIVIA | The Knights of Columbus will hold their 12th annual Charity Golf Tournament at 9 am Wednesday, Aug. 17 at the Carolina National Golf Club. Since its inception, some $200000 has been raised for a variety of charities in Brunswick County.
Father Thomas Mahoney of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, where the Watsons are members, immediately alerted the Knights of Columbus through which more email alerts were sent. “It was a hurry-up food drive,” Father Mahoney said.
The Lady Knights joined the Knights of Columbus Monday as did some other Parishioners for dinner and a video provided by Mark Schmaltz. It was well attended and several attendees discussed having more evenings for fellowship and food. Bingo!
